FEES AND INSURANCE
For individual and couples therapy, my fee is $250 for the initial (75 minute) consultation appointment and $200 for subsequent (50 minute) therapy appointments. I offer a limited number of sliding scale rate slots for those who need a reduced fee in order to make therapy affordable; please give me a call to discuss this option. During the initial appointment, we’ll explore your presenting concerns, background, and goals for therapy, and begin to formulate a treatment plan. Subsequent therapy sessions typically occur on a weekly or biweekly basis; however, the frequency of sessions can be adjusted based on your needs and availability.
I am an out-of-network provider, and will provide you with a form that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. That means you are responsible for the fee at the time of our appointment, and a certain percentage of the fee may be reimbursed to you by your insurance company. Because plan benefits vary, I encourage you to call your insurance carrier directly to obtain accurate information about what your plan covers for out-of-network providers. Be sure to ask them the following questions to clarify your out-of-network benefits: What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health? How much of my deductible has been met this year? What is my out-of-network coinsurance for outpatient mental health? Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?How and where do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?
I’m happy to discuss any questions you have about fees, insurance reimbursement, and payment options during our initial phone call. I’m also happy to support you in finding out more details about your out-of-network benefits. I accept payment by cash, check, and most major credit cards. You can also use your FSA/HRA/HSA accounts to cover the cost of services. I will provide you with detailed receipts to submit for reimbursement or coverage.
