About Me

I believe that entering therapy is an act of courage and trust, and I take that trust seriously. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and respectful therapeutic experience. I also believe that therapy works best when it is collaborative. Together, we’ll work to identify your specific treatment goals, and the best way to move towards them. We’ll build on your strengths and resilience as we work to develop new ways of coping and increased self-understanding. You’ll find that my therapeutic style is warm, personable, active, and down-to-earth. I draw on a variety of evidence-based therapies to fit your specific goals and needs, including emotion-focused, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, mind-body, and mindfulness approaches.

I have specialized training and interest in the areas of anxiety, infertility, reproductive health, trauma, grief/loss and spirituality. In addition, I am trained as a generalist, and am experienced in helping individuals with a broad range of concerns, including stress, mood difficulties, identity concerns, career uncertainty, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I have experience working with clients of varying ages, races, cultural backgrounds, spiritual traditions, sexual orientations, gender identities, and socioeconomic statuses. I am deeply committed to providing culturally competent care, and I am passionate about helping clients slow down and connect with the deeper sources of meaning and purpose in their lives.

I am a licensed psychologist in Midtown Atlanta at Juniper Psychological Services, where I offer individual, group, and couples counseling to adults. I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia and have 15+ years of experience providing mental health services and support to adults, children, and families in the Metro Atlanta area. I am a member of the the Georgia Psychological Association and I completed my APA-accredited Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology at the Georgia Tech Counseling Center. In addition, I completed my MDiv at Emory University and am experienced at integrating spirituality and diverse faith traditions into psychotherapy.
